In honor of our Friday Fun series, I thought we'd give you some dirt on members of the SmarterServices team. Read about Rachel Sipper below our Director of Support and get to know her.
Question: What is the most beautiful place you’ve ever visited and why?
Answer: Hawaii, which is a place I never thought I’d get to see. My husband had to go on business and I flew down for part of the visit. There are the obvious beauties of beaches, mountains, and volcanoes, but what I didn’t know about was that you can often see multiple rainbows there on any one day.
Question: What is your most embarrassing moment?
Answer: Skirt tucked into the waistband of my pantyhose. Thank goodness I was just a kid when it happened. Now I’m kind of paranoid about that before I leave public restrooms
Question: If you could dine with someone who is deceased who would it be and why?
Answer: My Granddaddy. I think he had a lot of interesting stories to tell, but I suspect that most of us (me included) aren’t receptive to really listening to them until we’re grown.
Question: What is the one thing you love to do and wish you had more time to spend doing?
Answer: Drawing and painting.
Question: What is your favorite decade? Why?
Answer: I suppose that right now is my favorite decade. There’s so much amazing new technology around, and no one is wearing Hammer Pants (parachute pants), which is a plus. (There’s another embarrassing moment for you… I had two pair that my Mom sewed for me, oh the shame!)
Question: Name one thing that you’ve done that was on your bucket list.
Answer: I don’t actually have a bucket list…
Question: What is your biggest fear?
Answer: Here’s the easy answer: precipices, especially waterfalls. Here’s the tough answer: not being good enough.
Question: When you were little what did you want to be when you grew up?
Answer: A Disney animator.
Question: What is your favorite meal?
Answer: Pecan My family has it every Sunday for lunch: Falling-apart tender roast beef, mashed potatoes and homemade gravy, and green beans.
Question: Who is your favorite person?
Answer: Well that’s a loaded question! When it really comes down to it, Jesus is the truest answer, but I hate to trivialize that. So I’ll just trivialize my husband (kidding)! Really though, Josh is the person I most want to be around.
