On Thursday, May 25th, The University of North Carolina is holding the 2nd annual Competency Based Education CBE Summit in Chapel Hill, NC. We are so honored to be apart of the special day, jam-packed with thought leaders and early adopters of CBE across the country. Well known Dr. Michelle Weise, Executive Director, Sandbox Collaborative, from Southern New Hampshire University, and Charla Long, J.D., Executive Director, of the Competency-Based Education Network (C-BEN) will be the key note speakers.
Dr. Mac Adkins, one of our own, will also be presenting at 3:00 pm. Don’t miss his session on CBE student readiness. If there is one thing we’ve learned over the past decade of working with student readiness, it is that there are misconceptions about what it takes to go through a non-traditional program. Not only does that include elearning, but really any type of self-regulated learning environment.
The Summit is designed for anyone and everyone looking into CBE, those who have established programs, or those who have just started to get into the space. The topics for the 16 concurrent sessions include faculty development, crediting military experience, enrollment motivators, building CBE programs, and how CBE relates to talent acquisition. Presented by over 50 educators, the UNC CBE Summit 2017, is sure to be a worthwhile event. It is open to anyone and there is still time to REGISTER. #CBE2017Share This:
